If you are struggling with getting results from your workout, if you wrestle with sugar cravings or if you are looking to make better choices on WHAT to eat, then understanding your PROTEIN needs is where it's at!

Today's TidBit Vid is all about figuring out how many grams of protein your body needs on a daily basis.

Protein is the building block of all your cells. It has to do with the health of your hair, your skin & your nails. It is responsible for helping tissue repair. & some of that tissue is MUSCLE!

This calculation - sorry, I know! more science?! YES, more science! - is to help you learn how much protein you need to build &/or KEEP the muscle you are working so hard for during your workouts.

Take your weight in kilograms (my US followers: Take your body weight in pounds & divide it by 2.2) & multiply it by the following 2 numbers:

1.2 = Minimum of what your body needs to maintain what you've got
1.8 = What your body requires to start building muscle

Using myself as an example:
153lbs = 69.5 kg

69.5 x 1.2 = 83.5 grams of protein needed per day
69.5 x 1.8 = 125 grams of protein needed per day
