Meditation, in a nutshell, is a simple 10-minute daily habit to get your peace back for the remaining 950 minutes of your waking day.

But, here’s the problem I didn’t address last week…. it’s leaving out the priority of a restful night’s sleep.

In that aspect, it works great for me first thing in the morning, as a bright & focused start to my 16-hour day.

If however, you have a hard time falling asleep at night (or staying asleep for that matter), it may make more sense for you to focus on nighttime meditation first.

Let’s face it, if you are suffering from lack of sleep, it makes everything in life more difficult.

Healthy food choices out the window. Metabolism slows way down. Patience wains. Crankiness cranks up.

On that note, I have a special treat for you.

It’s a wonderful just-before-bed just-for-you guided relaxation lead by my friend & colleague, Dawn Lorenz of Self Reboot.

Dawn specializes in stress management & meditation for her clients. She works with me in Corporate Wellness, so I can attest to her success rate in helping stressed-out insomniacs get their life back without relying on pills.

Set a notification on your phone right now to cue it up for bedtime tonight. Press play, listen, breathe & relax.

It’s best to give this a go for at least a week before throwing your hands up saying “ugh, this doesn’t work either!” Commit to doing it every night for at least a week. Post on the blog below the video & share how it’s helped you. Feel free to pass it on to your friends too.

Imagine how much more peaceful our interactions would be if we all got better quality sleep?

p.s. Remember Craig Strickler who is blind AND follows my workouts on YouTube? (until I sent him a bunch of DVD’s so he doesn’t have to rely on someone else to cue them up!) Well, I received the most beautiful thank you gift from him in the mail a couple days ago… to say I LOVE IT is an understatement!!!! How PERFECT is THIS? I opened it & nearly cried.... I was so touched by his thoughtfulness. <3
Check out his family business!
