I decided to cut wheat out of my diet towards the end of last year. But, it's probably not for the reasons you think. Yes, wheat &/or gluten can cause belly fat, skin issues and digestive problems, to name a few. But, I stopped eating it because I didn't like how it made my blood sugar spike & cause me to feel ravenously hungry. Like, cranky & pit-of-my stomach hungry! In fact, if I didn't eat right away, I would have stomach pains that wouldn't easily go away, even when I did eat. Cutting out wheat & gluten has been fairly easy for me simply because I hate how it makes me feel. Would you be open to experimenting cutting it out of your diet? I mean... cutting it out completely??
