For some people weighing themselves keeps them in check & helps them stay within their healthy weight perimeters. However, if you are strength training consistently, you will be gaining muscle & the scale won't reflect all the GOOD that is happening in your body & in your life. In this video I share some valid reasons why the scale is NOT the ideal way to measure your success. I used to weigh myself 2-3 times a day. Now, I say F [orget] the scale!

Yes! this is the message that i needed to hear! It’s a bit of a relief.. because when i saw i put on 2 kg, although i often exercise, i did eat a plate of pastas to feel better hehe. F@@@ the scale ! 😉
Awesome Karen! yessss – get off & stay off that scale! 🙂
I quit the scale a while ago. I was getting so frustrated that the scale does not budge (now I know how the people feel on the Biggest Loser). As long as my jeans still fit , ideally I would like them to eventually go a size lower, I am learning to become-just ok with it.
I have always been told I have a lot of muscle and muscle weighs more than fat-ahhhhh.
I get on the scale at the dr’s office, I don’t look and I tell them I don’t want to know. As long as I don’t out’fit’ my jeans. Thanks, more people should get this message.
Thank you Jane! I agree 🙂
Boy did you hit the nail on the head with this video!!! I have changed my eating habits and have lost 70+ lbs (have 20 more to go) exercise almost everyday and yet I let that scale determine how I’m gonna feel for that day..The numbers have stopped moving and I can’t quit stressing over it..I get on it 5 or 6 times a day and I’m getting to the point where I want to give up.. So I’m gonna give up the scale and try to be happy on how far I’ve come. I’m so glad I came across this website..Love all your exercises and videos..
YEAH!!!! This’ll be one of the best things you’ve ever done for your health. It’ll help you shift your focus from beating yourself up to your successes & to the things that could never be measured on a scale – like energy level & strength! Good for you. Keep me posted on your progress. I’m rootin’ for ya!
